Last Saturday, the ALBION Garden came alive as an intimate group of guests stepped into the world of HADA-DO, “The Way of Skin”, an immersive journey into Japanese skincare rituals, the power of touch, and deeply intentional care. The HADA-DO event reflected this philosophy by inviting guests to slow down and reconnect with skincare as ritual rather than routine. The experience introduced one of ALBION’s most iconic philosophies: milk first.
The Philosophy Behind HADA-DO
During the HADA-DO ritual, participants moved through a guided, meditative skincare experience centered around touch, presence, and the Milk First philosophy. Many described the experience as calming, restorative, and deeply relaxing, a quiet pause from the pace of daily life.
Each guest departed with INFINESSE Pump Matrix Milk and a renewed appreciation for skincare not simply as routine, but as ritual, expressing their desire to continue practicing HADA-DO moments of slowness and care at home.
HADA-DO reflects a larger philosophy within J-beauty: that skincare should be practiced as a moment of reflection and presence to nourish not just your skin, but your mind too. Our mission is to bring this timeless concept to you so that looking in the mirror is not only about applying your skincare products, but seeing your true inner beauty reflected.
The Ritual Begins with Milk
Guests experienced the philosophy of HADA-DO firsthand through the INFINESSE Pump Matrix Milk and ALBION’s intentional Milk First ritual, where gentle application using cotton enveloped the skin in lightweight nourishment while supporting softness and elasticity.
The afternoon unfolded through moments of ritual, artistry, and stillness. Welcomed with matcha lattes and surrounded by floral arrangements by Mitsuko Floral, inspired by both Western floristry and traditional Japanese ikebana, guests were invited into a slower and more mindful experience of beauty.
Rooted in balance, simplicity, and presence, ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arranging that transforms nature into a ritual of harmony and intention. This philosophy reflected the essence of HADA-DO itself, where skincare becomes more than routine and instead a quiet ritual of care performed with awareness and purpose.
Where Ritual Meets Skin
The HADA-DO event offered more than a skincare demonstration. It invites guests into a deeper understanding of ritual, touch, and Japanese skincare philosophy. Learn more about the philosophy behind ALBION’s skincare rituals here: Explore HADA-DO at ALBION Garden.
