The collection features a proprietary complex called Protereation™, which blends cornflower water, rice ferment, and yeast extract, selected to support skin’s natural renewal processes and unlock a radiant appearance at any age.

B – Balancing Milk
ALBION Balancing Milks are a foundational step (#2) in ALBION’s 4‑Step Skincare Ritual. This signature product, first introduced in 1956, combines the benefits of a lightweight emulsion and a toner. Applied after cleansing, it replenishes moisture, balances oil levels, and gently exfoliates dead skin cells to support a healthy, resilient skin barrier.
Unlike Western moisturizers that seal hydration at the end of a routine, this J‑Beauty essential primes the skin early on. With a texture lighter than creams yet richer than waters, it softens and smooths, reducing visible pores and preparing the skin to absorb serums and creams more effectively. ALBION Skin Conditioner is used as a step 3 within the 4‑Step Skincare Ritual, serving as a hydrating essence or treatment lotion. Skin Conditioner is a skincare category unique to J-beauty, combining the functions of a toner and an essence. It hydrates, soothes, strengthens the skin barrier, and protects against environmental stressors.
At the core of ALBION Skin Conditioner is hatomugi, a grain also known as Job’s tears, celebrated in Asian skincare for its soothing, moisturizing, and brightening properties. ALBION uses an advanced variety called Kita no Hato, organically cultivated in North Hokkaido and known for its high active content.
Skin Conditioner is incredibly versatile, unlike Western skincare products which usually focus on one concern. It can be used as a light daily hydrator, an acne or insect bite treatment, a calming mask, a hydrating mist, or a post-sun or after-shave soother.
D – The Dual-Formula System
This year, ALBION launched EXCIA Double Key Advanced Serum, a high-performance anti-aging skincare product, in the U.S. market. The Dual-Formula System is the innovative technology at the heart of the formula that merges two serums—water-based and oil-based—delivered in a precise 3:1 ratio via a dual-chamber dispenser. By keeping the formulas separate until the moment of application, the serum preserves the potency of both hydrating and nourishing actives.
How it works: The water base is rich in botanical extracts like roselle, green tea, and rice bran to hydrate, refresh, and support the skin’s moisture barrier. The oil base contains macadamia and argan oils, vitamin E, and antioxidant-rich botanicals to seal in hydration, soften texture, and enhance radiance.
The water phase quenches the skin; the oil phase locks in moisture. And because the formulas activate upon dispensing, the ingredients remain fresh and potent. The dual-nozzle system dispenses just the right blend each time, making it easy to use as Step 4 in the ALBION 4‑Step Skincare Ritual.
E – Excia Immaculate
EXCIA IMMACULATE is ALBION’s brightening serum designed to address visible signs of hyperpigmentation, dullness, and uneven tone. Part of the EXCIA line, the Brightening Immaculate Serum Z delivers targeted care through single-use ampoules—an approach that preserves the integrity and potency of the formula with each application.
The serum is powered by an advanced version of kojic acid, a well-studied brightening ingredient in Japan, known for helping reduce the appearance of dark spots by interrupting melanin production at the source. In addition to kojic acid, the formula contains a blend of botanical extracts and moisturizing agents.
